Signal HDC-260P compact IP camera, designed for use in IP CCTV systems, employs 1/2.9" SONY CMOS image sensor with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels (2 MP) and can provide video at frame rate up to 25 fps. The built-in 2.8-12 mm varifocal lens has viewing angle adjustable within 90° - 26° range. It cooperates with IR illuminator with range up to 40 meters, ensuring good video coverage in low light conditions and complete darkness. The camera can provide three independent video streams and offers a number of compression methods, H.265+/H.265/H.264+/H.264/MJPEG. The connection to the camera is possible via an internet browser, free VMS Lite software (PC), or FreeIP app (smartphone). The camera is intended for indoor or outdoor applications - its IP66 rated housing protects the electronics against adverse weather conditions. The camera can be powered conventionally from a 12 VDC source or using PoE (802.3af).
H.265/H.265+ video compression
H.265/H.265+ - higher compression ratios with preserving video quality provided by H.264
H.265/H.265+ - higher compression ratios with preserving video quality provided by H.264
The camera can use H.265+, H.265, H.264+, H.264 and MJPEG compression methods. The H.265 coding ensures two times higher compression ratio than H.264, preserving the same image quality. This further saves network and memory resources, allowing for application of HDDs with smaller capacity or for longer retention times. The H.265+ and H.264+ versions of the original standards have been further optimized for applications in CCTV systems, to minimize the relevant data streams in typical video surveillance scenarios. Thanks to the range of the video coding methods, the camera can be used both in IP CCTV systems based on modern Hikvision NVRs supporting H.265 standard (the DS-76/77NI-I/K series supports H.265+, H.265, H.264+, H.264) and those with older models supporting only H.264+/H.264 (DS-76/77NI-E series).
Client software
VMS Lite is a client software developed for the control and operation of Signal IP cameras and NVRs. Along with the access to the cameras and recordings on the NVRs, the software enables the user to record the video streams from the cameras onto the HDD(s) of the client computer.

FreeIP application that can be downloaded for Android or iOS mobile devices allows for remote monitoring of the surveillance video captured by Signal IP cameras. Such a camera can be added with the use of its serial number, QR code, or IP address. After connecting via Wi-Fi, it can be found as a new device. The app can also make use of free cloud service, which enables access to the camera from any network without the need for forwarding ports.
